YMCA Community Hall Colchester

Colchester YMCA’s Community Hall is a fantastic modern hall with private parking, situated two minutes’ walk away from Colchester Town train station and local car parks, and with easy access to Colchester town centre and affordable hire rates.

Available 8am-11pm Monday to Friday & After 1pm Saturdays subject to availability.

Bookings must be made in line with current government Covid 19 guidance, and users should be aware that this guidance could change again at short notice.  All users must have risk assessed their activity and operate in a covid-secure manner. YMCA Essex accepts no responsibility for users adherence to this guidance. If users are unsure if their activities are covid secure, they should not book the venue.

The Community Hall is located on Magdalen Street in Colchester, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre. There is limited parking on site, however ample public car parking is situated very near to the centre off St Botolphs roundabout, and the venue is close to public transport links.  

The hall has a PA system allowing for a variety of equipment connections, hearing loop, projector and screen and items such as whiteboards & flip charts. It has a fully equipped self contained kitchen.

Maximum occupancy - 110 persons

Seating Available for - 30 (with tables) 85 (without tables)

N.B. - Extra seating  ( up to 85) can be arranged with sufficient notice.

Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: 7 days a week, 365 days per year. 7am-11pm

Hire Costs: £15 per hour. £250 refundable deposit for events involving alcohol. £50 refundable deposit children's parties
