Queens Hall

The Venue

Queens Hall is situated in the heart of  Burley in Wharfedale.  Originally built in 1868 this iconic community building has 2 rooms for public hire making it ideal for a variety of social functions from weddings, children's parties and coffee mornings, bands and craft fairs. The Hall is widely used for fitness activities and can be set out for badminton use.  

The venue also has theatrical capabilities with stage sound lighting and a balcony and is used regularly by local drama and dance groups.

The Hall has car-parking facilities to the rear and comprises of two publicly available rooms: the Main Hall and the Small Hall with access to a fully equipped kitchen.


The Queen's Hall offers the following facilities.

The Main Hall measures 54ft x 36ft with a stage measuring 26ft x 10ft. There is a basic sound system, including a loop system and a total theatrical seating capacity of 150. The room is multipurpose and is marked out for badminton.

The Small Hall comfortably seats up to 50 people and is ideal for meetings, coffee mornings and small functions. It adjoins an open-plan kitchen, which is fully equipped with modern appliances and utensils.


Rooms are available for booking every day from 0900-2200. Requests for bookings outside these times should first be discussed with the Parish Clerk

Prices for weddings and private functions by negotiation.

When considering the amount of time needed please note that access will only be granted at the start of the booked time, and the room should be ready for other bookings by the end of the booking.

Regular users (more than 12 bookings) will qualify for a 20% discount. This will be applied to the final invoice.

Additional Charges

Some activities/events will incur an additional charge to cover exceptional costs not applicable to most bookings. Specifically:

Where health and safety needs require it, staff may be required to support the event either for the set-up / clear away or for the running of the event (£12/hr weekday / £20/hr weekends)

The Parish Council have adopted a policy of no free or reduced lets.
