Old Church Rooms / Hen Ysgoldy'r Eglwys
The Old Church Rooms is owned and managed by Radyr & Morganstown Community Council on behalf of the community. It is used for a wide range of activities including a nursery, breakfast and after school clubs, baby and toddler activities, exercise and dance classes, activities for a wide range of community groups, as well as private parties and meetings.
Three rooms are available to hire at a standard charge of £8 per hour plus VAT
Wi-Fi is available on request with all room bookings.

Book a room at the Old Church Rooms
If you are booking a room with us for the first time, you will first need to set up as a new user. Existing users can login using their email address and password.
Please remember to book enough time to set up for your event - such as putting out tables and chairs. And, importantly, please ensure that you include enough time to put everything away and leave the room in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your booking period.

The Garth Room is our main function room and holds up to 80 people. Tables and chairs are provided, as well as a sound system, theatre lighting, a stage, a projector screen and electric piano. Kitchen facilities are available with the Garth Room, with an additional charge of £2.00 plus VAT for those wanting to prepare and serve food.
The Garth Room is fully accessible and accessible toilet facilities are provided on the ground floor of the building.
The Weir Room holds up to 40 people and can be used for a range of events and activities. Tables and chairs are provided and there is a pull-down projector screen available. Kitchen facilities for preparing light refreshments are available with the Weir Room.

The Castle Room is suitable for meetings and presentations and can hold up to 30 people. Tables and chairs are provided, together with a large Smart TV, flipchart and a hearing loop facility is available on request. A small kitchen is available for preparing light refreshments.
The Castle Room is located on the first floor of the Old Church Rooms and is not easily accessible as there is no lift to the first floor.
This is on the ground floor and has been modernised and upgraded, to a professional standard. It has a large range oven with 6 gas burners and a wide range of equipment to help with the preparation and storage of food. The kitchen also has generous supply of crockery and cutlery. Formal hire and payment for the kitchen is required only for those intending to use it to cook and prepare substantial amounts of food - or where exclusive use of the kitchen is required. Use of the kitchen is free to all others - if all you intend to do is prepare cups of tea and coffee - or plate up sandwiches (etc) prepared elsewhere. There is disabled access to the kitchen.
Hire rate: £2 per hour plus VAT
PLEASE NOTE: When you book this room, please make sure that you book enough hours to give yourself time to set it up for your event (such as putting out tables and chairs, or setting up projectors). And, importantly, please ensure that you give yourself enough time to put everything away - and leave the room in a clean and tidy condition by the end of your hire period - and ready for the next user.
Failure to leave the room on time - and in a clean and tidy condition - may result in a £20 charge.
